My thematic areas of research interest are quite wide and include; Climate change and tourism, Sustainable tourism, Information Technology (IT) and tourism, Community based tourism, Sustainable tourism planning and development, Urban/City tourism, Cultural and Heritage tourism, Rural tourism, Wild life based tourism, Green tourism, Tourism destination management and Tourism training and education.

March, 26^Th - 29^th , 2018 - Attended and actively participated in the FIRST NATIONAL CULTURE AND HERITAGE WORKSHOP FOR YOUTH IN KENYA organized by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Kenya National Commission for UNESCO (KNATCOM) at the Kenya Education Management Institute.

November, 9th 2017 - Attended and participated in the International Federation for IT in Travel and Tourism (IFIIT) Conference at Kenyatta University on the theme “Enhancing the Competitiveness of Africa’s tourism: The ICTs pathway”.
